Does the thought of placing your child in a crowded and chaotic daycare center make you cringe?

Ages 3–5 are the most important years for building neural pathways. We've designed an innovative, play-based experience for preschoolers that strengthens the brain-body connection, and enhances focus, memory & self-control, so they can build friendships, knowledge, and practical life skills.
We use our SPARKS Framework:
With thoughtfully designed themes of exploration, cooperative and self-directed activities, your child has a space to create, play, and thrive.

For parents who are seeking quality over quantity; a more holistic enriching program where their child is inspired, engaged, and celebrated for their own unique brilliance.
This is not a daycare or a "drop-in" program. It’s an ongoing, 2-days a week, small-group, play-based, enrichment experience designed to nourish your child’s creativity, confidence, and curiosity. We run three 11-week sessions per year, a 3-week Winter Holiday Mini Camp and a 6-week Summer Camp. (No classes in August.)
This is a perfect environment for children ages 3 1/2 - 5 who:
Created by two experienced educators and carefully curated to help SPARK your child's unique brilliance. The small class size (no more than 7 to a class) allows shy children to play, socialize, create and learn without getting overwhelmed or overlooked.

"We’re not just educators. We’re creative guides, experience-weavers & bright-sparkers."
Barbara and Lauren are the mother-daughter duo behind Bright SPARKS, blending artistic imagination, movement-based learning, and a deep understanding of how children learn and grow best — through play, connection, and curiosity.
Barbara brings many years of enrichment experience: from sensory-motor coaching and therapeutic art to adaptive yoga and creative recreation program design. She’s a mother of 4 grown kids, a former home school parent, a certified kids’ yoga instructor and avid reader, writer and storyteller with a passion for whole-child learning.
Lauren is our Child Whisperer, Captain of Crayons and soon-to-be certified early educator who infuses every activity with care, enthusiasm, and just the right amount of structure. Her hands-on work with young children and fresh academic insights make her both relatable and inspiring to kids and parents alike.
Together, they’re intentionally non-traditional and proudly SPARK-ified — guiding children not just to learn, but to shine!
Their classes, workshops and enrichment programs provide a playful, warm and supportive environment for your child to make new friends, express themselves creatively, and explore the world while meeting and exceeding their important developmental milestones! We can't wait to watch your child shine!

Unlike traditional preschool or daycare, Bright SPARKS is a specialized enrichment experience. We focus on short-format, high-impact sessions that complement—not replace—your child’s existing care or schooling. Our program is designed to deepen learning through themed adventures that blend literacy, science, and art in ways that feel like play but build real-world readiness.
Creative enrichment blends art, movement, storytelling, sensory activities and pretend play in such a way as to spark imagination and build essential skills. It’s not about worksheets or rote learning—it’s about nurturing curiosity, creativity, and whole-child development through carefully curated hands-on experiences.
Preschoolers' brains are developing at lightning speed, and they learn best through play, games and exploration experiences. Our enrichment program maximizes their natural curiosity, as it builds fine motor skills, early literacy, and confidence—setting the stage for lifelong learning in any and all environments.
Bright SPARKS builds foundational skills through play. Children learn to follow routines, listen to directions, express ideas, solve problems, collaborate and cooperate - all essential for a smooth transition to a more structured homeschool program, traditional school, or real-life life experiences.
Both! For children (and adults) playing is essential to learning. Our play-based approach is intentionally designed to support cognitive, social, and physical development. Every activity has purpose, whether it’s building language through storytelling, practicing fine motor (pre-writing) skills though art, learning to share and be kind through pretend play, or refining balance during a dance party
At this level we focus on process and skill-building over end product perfection. Children are unique in their own style of creativity, and are encouraged to explore materials, make choices, express themselves and make their own discoveries. We encourage and celebrate this effort. This builds confidence, problem solving, and a love for learning—no artistic or creative background required!
Each creative learning experience is based on NAYEC standards and uses art, sensory and pretend play, STEM, and movement to support physical brain-body integration, creative thinking, social skills, and self-concept. It’s not just enrichment—it’s empowerment.
You can book a tour by calling 267-245-5938 or if you have other questions, please contact Barbara at create@thearoasis.net. If after your tour you think Bright SPARKS is a good fit for your child, we will walk you through the registration process!
